The Company
We are the pioneer manufacturers of malleable cast iron galvanized pipe fitting in Nepal. The factory was established in BS 2052 (1995). The pipe fittings are manufactured to meet the requirement of Nepalese standard NS-383 which is equivalent to the IS 1879. Hulas Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. established in 1981 is a joint venture company of Golchha Organisation of Nepal & Comcraft Ltd. of Singapore.
We have most modern & sophisticated machinery for manufacturing of malleable cast iron pipe fittings. Our galvanized malleable cast iron pipe fittings have been awarded NS 383 (equivalent IS 1879), establishing our commitment to quality.

Standard Specifications
- <H> Brand pipe fittings conform to the following specifications laid down in NS-383, 2054 (IS 1879-1987).
- Dimensions for pipe threads where pressure tight joints are required on the threads (third revision) IS:554:1985
- General requirements for the supply of metallurgical material (second revision) 1S:1387:1993
- General reqiurements for the supply of metallurgical allied products (third revision) IS:4759:1996
- Gauging practice for the threads where pressure tight joints are required on the threads IS:8999:1979
Technical Comparison

Equal size : Where all outlets are of the same size, the fitting shall referred to by that one size irrespective of the numbers of outlets.
Unequal size : Unequal fittings the bigger diameter is indicated first and then smaller diameter.

Other Inspections (By Sampling Method )
Brand pipe fittings are inspected with the help of suitable instruments i. e. Thread gauge, Templets, Bevel micro meter for thread dimensions, angle alignment and over all dimensions and all thickness.
Chamfering
<H> Brand Fittings are chamfered slightly at each thread opening for easy entrance of Pipe and first thread engagement.
Marking
Our registered trade mark 0 appears on all our fittings except where it is not possible due to technical reasons. The size designation also appears on the fittings.
Packing
Fittings are normally packed in double gunny bags, the inner one being lami-coated, in quantities which differ according to the size and bulkiness of the fittings.

Quality Controls 
- Important raw materials and moulding sand are tested prior to their use for their essential chemical and physical properties in a well equipped laboratory.
- Raw castings are Inspected for freedom from any such defect as blow holes, cold shift and depth etc.
- Annealed castings are inspected for cracks and distortion.
- Galvanised castings are inspected to ensure that the Zinc coating is smooth, clean, continuous and free from acid.
- Machined fittings are inspected for any such defects on threaded portions as thin threads, break fin and pin holes.
Mechanical Test

Various tests which are carried out during the course of production include:
- Tensile test to ensure that the fittings are properly heat treated and have acquired desired tensile strength and elasticity.
- Malleability test to ensure that the fittings are properly malleabilised.
- Pressure test to ensure that the fittings do not leak when subjected to a given internal fluid pressure.
