Zinc Chloride , Rough Round Wire
![]() |
Evidently the multitude of operations at the Simra Complex generate a fair amount of scrap
and zinc waste. As a responsible corporate citizen, the company has made continuous
efforts aimed at minimising this waste, recycling waste products and protecting the environment.
The bulk of iron scrap goes into making rough round wire for nails, foundry unit for iron casting
and is partly disposed to units engaged in recycling iron scraps into billets.
Similarly, zinc waste generated during various galvanizing operations is recycled to recover zinc and produce zinc chloride for use in dry cells. Parts of the recycled products have also been exported out of the country.
